Most of the restaurants and business places provide Wi-Fi to their clients.
The park and the Plaza, situated in the middle of the city, are nice places to meet locals and vendors and get into Spanish simple conversations to learn about the culture and about Granada. The breeze from the lake blows along the streets making evenings so relaxing especially if you are sitting at a table in a street open restaurant or ice-cream store just to enjoy life! This is a destination you deserve! A nice place to learn Spanish in Nicaragua!
The Granada Spanish language school is located in downtown at just some minutes’ walk from the central park. Students can choose from the varied language courses offered in this school. Spanish full immersion, Spanish and Ceramic, and Medical Spanish are some of the courses taught in Granada school. The nice and friendly school staff is one of the most experienced in the Spanish language schools in Nicaragua.
There are some bilingual teachers who will use English in their lessons only if it is requested by the students in case a grammar topic needs to be very clear to the class. Darling Pérez, the Administration Coordinator of the school, is a person committed to make the students staying, as an unforgettable immersion experience.
She has worked very close to the Coordinator of SpanABroad network who was one of the pioneer founders of the first Spanish school in Granada; as a matter of fact, this friendly and capable school staff has an incredible experience in designing and organizing language programs and field trips. What you can expect from the staff is just professionalism and ethic, punctuality and dedication to the Spanish teaching. You will never complaint about them!
The students will benefit from the class size which is small, and mostly one-on-one. The lessons are focused with an emphasis on the speaking ability. Grammar is also studied in a practical way and the contextual vocabulary is taught through conversation. The experienced nice teachers at the school include the use of varied materials in the Spanish sessions such as graphics, flash cards, storybooks and vocabulary cards. Classes are in the mornings from Monday to Friday, for four hours with short coffee breaks.
Homework is daily assigned. Afternoon field trips to local destinations are included as part of the program at the school.
For more intensive learning, extra hours of tutoring or conversation can also be arranged in the afternoons if requested previously.
The courses for any Spanish level start very Monday throughout the year but students can start any day if requested. Class material is provided at the school, and this consists of a Spanish workbook, a notebook and a pen.
Since this school started operations, host families have been an important key in the immersion courses program. The families provide a clean private room equipped with a fan, private bathroom, a clean bed, bed clothes; three home-made meals seven days a week, and filtered water. The families are friendly, very hospitable, helpful, and experienced in hosting international students. Some have young children and teenagers, which makes the staying more fun. This expands the opportunities to practice the Spanish language outside the school from the time you get up to the time you get to sleep. That is why we recommend students to stay with a host family during the length of the Spanish program. Students hosted with these families are treated as new family members!
This city has the privilege of being located close to many natures lovely places.
